“But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers so much more.”
– Hans Christian Andersen
One super touristy thing you can do while strolling around Copenhagen is check out the Little Mermaid statue. She has been a tourist hot spot since 1913! This bronze sculpture is displayed on a rock at the Langelinie promenade and was inspired by the fairy tale of the same name.
While the statue is nice, it was ridiculously crowded and almost not worth it. BUT behind the statue chaos is a lovely park! Bonus.
