“Old Facefull has quenched the thirst of many visitors for over 80 years. It is located at the end of Thirteen Mile Road at Lake Michigan near Pierport, north of Onekama. Much like the Artesian Well in Onekama, this Natural Wonder is a spring fed artesian aquifer that has some of the purest water in the area. This is a great spot to enjoy a quiet walk on the beach with your family (just steps away) and sip the always cool water at Old Facefull before continuing your journey. As I was doing my research on my route along the west coast of Michigan I came across a thing called “Old Faceful” and I had to check it out. It was one of so many wonderful surprises! Not only is the water that comes from the spring the best tasting water I have ever had but at the end of the street is an amazing beach!!! I chatted with a couple locals and another traveler from southern Michigan who were equally in love with this spot. All the cups, jugs, containers I had in the van were filled with Old Faceful water. Free and delicious? Sign me up.
