Heather and I drove through Denmark and over an extremely expensive toll bridge to get to our campground in Copenhagen. We had a fantastic moon following us along but we didn’t arrive until late. There was no one around to open the gate or for us to check in so we unpacked the tent, found a decent spot and hit the hay.
The next morning we checked in with the host who was very kind and helpful. Tangloppen Camping is a short walk/bike and train ride into the city.
We stepped out of the train station and into a gray overcast day that was cut with vibrant colors, architecture and history. The was probably the most expensive city I have visited so far. If you are doing Copenhagen on a budget make sure to do your research before you go. We walked a lot, grubbed on some street food and did a lot of people watching in Christiania. (more details on those in another post)
